Robert Money well spent. The product is everything that the marketing says it is. Compared many products including portfolio type cases. This product for the price and fit stood out. Fits perfectly with the Apple protective case and keeps it in place.
Matt Simple Case Very simple and elegant case. Only grip is you can't take smart cover off while it's on, but that could be a good thing. Fits on the iPad dock without taking it off which was main concern.
Michelle Wonderful! I read all of the reviews on here before making the purchase and am truly glad I did. The first day I got my iPad I grabbed it by the smart cover and needless to say it fell off, but no more! After that I started looking for a back cover to go with my smart cover and then I stumbled upon Incipio. It does exactly what it says it does and I like that it creates a connection to the smart cover and keeps it from falling off. Also, I love that they coordinated the colors to match! Great buy! You won't regret it :)
Mike Great product I waited a couple of months before rating this product to see if it'll break or scratch, but none of that happened. _x000D_ The packaging was excellent. The cover snapped in place easily and stayed very firmly. I like the locking technique to keep the smart cover attached to the incipio cover. It makes the smart cover appear an extension of the incipio. If the cover gets dirty, wipe it with soft cloth and it's as good as new._x000D_ _x000D_ The price is a little steep, but overall a great product. It's designed for those who want to keep their iPad light and simple and to look like an iPad and not a bulky tablet.
Kay Love it I love this cover. The color matches perfect with the smart cover. It is thin, soft and does not add the the bulk of the ipad2. The biggest issue I had was the price, but I am very happy with it.
Pete Smith Apple Dock The main requirement when I was looking for a cover was that I wanted the iPad to still fit in the Apple dock. The Smart Feather does just that. No need to remove it. It only requires a very slight adjustment when seated by being more upright (about a millimetre!!). Just open the smart cover when fitting to dock. It can still be closed but sits o/s the dock base but still turns off the iPad._x000D_ I am very happy with the Smart Feather. So much so, I have bought a 3GS feather for my iPhone to trial with dock and Incipio leather iPhone holster._x000D_ I highly recommend the iPad 2 Smart Feather.

sp nice option my first ipad. liked the idea of completely covering the device. this item certainly does the trick. not sure if i'm sold on the smart cover yet, but will definitely use this hard shell with it.
Neal outstanding It was a great case over all, it protected the back from scratches and had a nice feel. However if you did drop this it would not protect it very well...that being said getting the smart cover off was a hassle but I can live with something as small as that. To sum it up incipio did a really great job manufacturing a case that allows me to set my iPad on a table and not worry about it being scratched. Thanks incipio.
Diann Miller You gotta have this I was looking for a case to match my Apple Smart Cover that was at a decent price and I found it! The Smart feather case was a perfect match in both color and materials. It slipped on easily and stayed put. I love the feel of the material--it is easy to grip and is not slippery.

Dan Great product I am completely satisfied with this product. Everything is just as advertised. It adds a very sleek look to the iPad and I believe it actualy enhances the Apple Smart Cover by grasping the magnetic strip and keeping it in place. Access to the external buttons is perfect. My only problem was applying the screen cover without getting bubbles or dirt between the screen and the screen cover. However, I believe that would be the case with any screen cover. Incipio includes a handy straight-edge card to help apply the screen cover. Great product! I have bought from Incipio before and I will buy from them again.

K King ipad2 smart feather cover Combined with the smart cover, the Smart feather case provides additional protection for my iPad 2 without adding a lot of weight or thickness. Goes on easily and works well with the Apple smart cover. To be perfect I wish it would cover the "short" sides of the iPad. Otherwise, great product, I would highly recommend it.
Rebecca Smart Feather Ultralight completes the iPad2! Super Unexpected Added Bonus: Helps new iPad2 fit in my Griffin cabinet mount for iPad1. I used the iPad in the kitchen all the time, after purchasing iPad2, I didn't anticipate that it wouldn't fit my cabinet mount anymore. The Smart Feather Ultralight helped solve that problem. It added just a slight teeny lip on the edge for the iPad2 to catch on the cabinet mount. It's not bulky, it just gave the iPad2 something to catch. _x000D_ _x000D_ I have a green smart cover and bought the clear for the back, it looks pretty fantastic and I am starting to not regret upgrading to the iPad2.
Michael Dare Great, lightweight case I've had Feather cases on two iPhones for a couple years now, so when I bought my wife an iPad, I checked Incipio to see if a similar case was available. The case is as-advertised, and fits the iPad well. The integration of the Smart Cover into the case design is a nice touch. Overall, the case is great...but I do notice a very slight difference in color between the lime Feather Case and the lime Smart Cover. Not enough to worry over, but the match isn't exact.
Phil Doran Fits Like a Glove I was afraid that the case would make the iPad too heavy, but the slight increase in weight was greatly out-weighed by both the increased protection and how it holds the magnetic cover far more firmly in place.

Dan Great product! Bought this after doing alot of research online for different covers/cases. I combined it with the Apple smart cover and the two work perfectly together. It protects the back of the iPad without creating too much extra weight. It fits snugly and creates a little extra friction to prevent the iPad from slipped out of your hands or off a table. I would recommend it!

Ming It's outstanding It fits ipad very well, and it doesn't have weird smell compared with cheap covers. The feeling of touch is good. The only disadvantage is after attach this cover, iPad becomes a bit heavy.

I hate bulky cases that add way too much thickness, but this case seriously adds no thickness. Brian Fuller wash hands first overall, i am pleased with the product. i wanted an orange backing to match my smart cover; unfortunately, both show dirt really easily (not a flaw in the product as much as it is from being a light color).
erika decent the case is awesome, i wished i would have gotten a different color though. i bought the orange to match my orange smart cover and the color is about 2 shades off. its less vibrant. i was really disappointed! i'm a designer and really sensitive to color so i noticed right away. i'll probably order the frost when i have the extra funds...

It arrived rapidly and surprisingly with a clear cover for the screen, and a cleaning cloth, in addition to the back cover. The fit was excellent and it was as light as promised. What surprised us was the slightly soft rubbery texture that felt good, and is kind to other surfaces as well as providing the back with excellent protection. Top-notch product.
Mike I like it! I've had my Incipio iPad 2 Smart feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case for a few weeks now and it is an excellent product. I was concerned that it would be too bulky but it adds very little to the overall size. _x000D_ I also like the feel of the cover. I doesn't have that plastic feel to it. And the color match is perfect. Excellent value!
Gene Robertson Very Nice This case protects well while not being bulky. The colors match the smart cover by Apple perfectly. The only caveat is that there is a bit more of the Ipad exposed with this case. We purchased a shoulder bag to carry the Ipad so this case worked perfectly in concert with that. Highly recommended.

Adam Frost case is perfect Purchased the frost smart feather cover as my fist color preference was sold out. The frost color is still great. It doesn't stand out and I can still clearly read my engraving on it. I love it. The fitment is perfect and it indeed works perfectly with the apple smart cover. The cover stays on and in place 100% of the time and it's thin enough that you don't notice the added thickness since it's so minimal. I would buy again, be willing to pay more, and recommend to everyone.

Alan Ball Good, but not a slam dunk The Smart Feather case does what it does well, but is not everything I wanted in a case, though it could have been. It is undoubtedly light and thin, has a nice feel, and snaps into place easily. The included screen protector went on cleanly and works fine, as well. The only drawback is that the corners of the device remain unprotected.

The grey looks fantastic with my orange Smart Cover, the fit is perfect and there is the added benefit that it holds the Smart Cover in place so it doesn't accidentally detached. Fantastic product, couldn't be happier and now plan to get the orange one and, possibly later, frost! Highly recommended.

Matt Excellent compliment to Smart Cover I originally purchased a case from an unnamed company with TPU material. It felt flimsy and had a border that encroached on the iPad glass. I ended up purchasing the Smart Feather instead. I figured I would receive a great quality case since I've purchased Incipio products in the past._x000D_ _x000D_ I wasn't disappointed. The Smart Feather is thin, light and it perfectly contours the iPad 2. It's more rigid than TPU and doesn't have the annoying border._x000D_ _x000D_ I want to point out that the Smart Feather has an additional feature that secures the Smart Cover. This is convenient because it adds additional support. You no longer have to worry about the Smart Cover slipping off with excessive force. However, it also means that the Smart Cover can't be easily removed for those who like to take the Smart Cover off completely.

Roy iPad Cover A friend recommended looking at the Incipio cover for the back of my iPad. I had already purchase the front cover from Apple, and wanted something that would work with the front cover. The Incipio cover was exactly what I needed. I went on easily, fits perfectly with the Apple cover, and does not come off. It also effectively prevents my front cover magnet from dropping off if I open the front cover and tuck it behind the iPad. Great product! Will recommend to others.

The downside was when the iPad dropped, damaged one of the edges and also damaged the cover. I think the borders should be further strengthened particularly in the corners.

The black matches and compliments the black Apple Smart Cover very well. Edge bevel helps secure the SmartCover magnetic hinge. Flat black color/finish hides dirt or scratches well. Tight fitting so dust will have a hard time getting in between case and iPad2._x000D_ _x000D_ Since it is so slim, there is minimal protection across the bottom and top (where the black strip covering the antenna on the 3g model is), so uncertain how it will stand up to a drop if it hits those edges

George Perfect for my iPad 2! I've seen more and more Smart Cover-compatible shells on the market with the ability to remove the covers. However, I find these dubious because the covers come off exposing the left leading edge to damage. And holding a bare left side and a shell-covered right side uncomfortable. But to each their own needs and comfort._x000D_ _x000D_ The Smart Feather Ultralight has built in hinges that keep the Smart Cover on which is great! And it's super thin not adding to the bulk of having a screen protector and a Smart Cover. Friends tell me that it won't protect my iPad, but I'm not looking for total coverage - just scratch protection on the back and this product fits the bill perfectly. Will buy again for my wife's iPad. Keep up the great product lines!

This works absolutely great with my Apple smartcover and protects the unit perfectly. I bought both grey and black. Prefer the grey because it looks like a normal Apple backing and doesn't show fingerprints.
John Fantastic Product I love this cover it puts a great easy to handle protective cover on the back of my Ipad. It also locks the smart cover onto the Ipad by clipping over it. This is a great feature because sometimes the smart cover detaches too easily._x000D_ I am disappointed in the screen protector though,because it was almost impossible to put on. It got dust on it and now I have little dust bubbles in my screen protector. I followed all the directions but I guess I will have to by more screen protectors and do it again.

Erik Smart Feather Great skin to complement Apple's smart cover. Only minor gripes: Show's fingerprint smudges, wish more top and bottom edge coverage. I would like to see full coverage on the top and bottom like the sides have, whit cutouts for the lock button, mic, headphone jack, and dock connector. Also prefer if the speaker was fully covered with perf or holes to allow audio through, but still have full protection. Still, I feel this is the best option for light protection from scratches to the back of the iPad.

I am always afraid that the uncovered areas will get scratched.Although it hasn't happened so far.

Tammie Adds value to Smart Cover!! The cover is better then expected as it has added value to my apple smart cover. When using the smart cover as a stand without this back cover my ipad2 would collapse as the weight would cause the cover to unfold. With this back cover I don't have the issue because of the way the smart cover hinge is enclosed in this feather back cover. It basically holds the smart cover on and strengthens the hinge like a book, the smart cover will not come off or collapse. I am glad I found this product as I was about to to give up on the smart cover and buy a stand or some other style of ipad2 cover. I am buying one for mom too as she has the same issue with her smart cover collapsing when used as a stand.

My iPad 1 Otterbox case was great, if you wanted to throw your iPad off the roof, but for daily use was extremely heavy and bulky._x000D_ _x000D_ When I got my iPad 2, I loved Apple's Smart Cover. It looked great and functioned perfect, but no one made a cover to protect the back._x000D_ _x000D_ When I saw Incipio's Featherlite case, I contacted them about using the Featherlite case w/ a Smart Cover. Someone from Incipio replied that they were working on a solution. This person even personally emailed me when it was released!_x000D_ _x000D_ This case is excellent. It fits the iPad 2 w/ a Smart Cover PERFECT. The grip of the case holds tight in your hand. It is so light and thin that you don't feel any additional bulk and maintains the graceful lines of the iPad 2._x000D_ _x000D_ My only 2 complaints are minimal - the cost and the screen protector. $35 is a little steep for the case, I'd think something around $20-$25 would be more reasonable. Also, the non-Smart Featherlite case comes w/ an anti-glare screen protector in it's Vanity Pack, but the Smart Featherlite Case only includes the standard screen protector. I'd have liked an anti-glare screen protector (as that is my only complaint about the iPad)_x000D_ _x000D_ It's also important to note that this "case" isn't a full wrap around case like my Otterbox was. This case is great to protect your iPad 2 in your shoulder bag / laptop case, while using it around the house, but will do little to protect the iPad 2 if you drop it from any height._x000D_ _x000D_ All in all, I highly recommend this case. It looks great, provides great grip and protects the back of the iPad 2 while the Smart Cover protects the front!

So simple, yet it took so long for someone to do it right!_x000D_ The Smart feather iPad2 case works great with Apple's smart cover and even allows iPad2 to fit in the new iPad2 dock without having to remove it. I got the gray to match my smart cover and it looks and feels as if the front and back are one unit. This is the rest of the case that Apple should have made. At $35 its a bit more than I would like to have paid, but considering the other sub-par cases around at twice the cost, it turns out to be a bargain. Great job incipio!

I did some research through the Internet on the available options. Based on the reviews I found, and my personal preference on how I would be using the unit, an Apple Smartcover along with the Incipio hardcase shell for the rear was a good match. The fact it was "ultralight" and "feather weight", I thought it was a good choice. Upon receipt, I was very pleased at how well it fit, how light it was, and that the colour matched the Smartcover exactly. Very pleased.
Anna Great design I am very happy with my Incipio iPad Smart Feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case (but the name is such a mouthful...). The design is low profile and not bulky. It is slightly grippy on the back so it doesn't slide around really easily - I have a tendency to drop my iPhone so it's nice that the cover for this iPad case isn't super slippery. The color selection is great - I like that I was able to get a color to match or compliment my smart cover. The case also clips on nicely and also helps hold the smart cover on - which I think is more of a benefit than a detractor (some reviews have said it is a downside that the back cover has to come off so that the smart cover can come off). Over all, a great product that really covers and protects my iPad - plus it comes with a screen protector cover too!

Jered Nice Case but a Little Fragile I found the Incipio cases online after searching high and low for a nice looking lightweight case. After an easy ordering process and a quick delivery, even with standard shipping, I really liked the finish and look of my new Atrix cover. I have had the case for about 8 months now and it has held up rather well. It works well with the docking station. My only problem is that the case has started to crack. It hasn't completely failed me but I have found it to be a bit fragile - and I have only dropped my phone once (I'm really careful with my electronics). I just bought a replacement because I like the case so much. Definitely worth the price.

Kristin Good product I have only been using the cover for a few days, but I no longer worry about scratching my iPad. It is sturdy and protects my iPad. I do find that the way the cover is made, it does not keep the magnets of my smart cover attached to my iPad. I worry that every time I take the smart cover off, I will be scratching my iPad because of the magnets.

Chris Bulletproof aesthetic protection The iPad 2 aluminum shell is very nice looking, but also relatively soft and susceptible to damage (scratches, gouges). Most iPad cases in some sense defeat the purpose of a thin, lightweight, handheld computing device. the iPad 2 Smart feather maintains the iPad design and aesthetics while providing protections against falls, dings, and scrapes. As a bonus, it secures the Smart cover. Highly recommended.

Jonathan Solid Product Overall I have been very satisfied with this product. It is the best smart cover compatible product on the market primarily because the case is flexible enough to not crack easily like most of these back cases on the market and this case features the unique piece of plastic that wraps around the hinge of the smart cover actually helping the smart cover stay in place. My case recently started to crack as a result of putting it through some rough use, so soon I will replace it with another one. This cracking was really a result of overuse, not any flaw in the product. I would definitely tell anyone who uses the smart cover with their ipad 2 to get this case if they want superior protection and compatibility with he smart cover.

Mike Enos It does what it says it does I like the Smart Feather a lot, but one of the corners broke off mine early on, and I started using something less bulky. The matte black, soft touch finish is nice, but it shows fingerprints/smudges. I much prefer something like the Mercury Gray NGP. For the price, it wasn't as durable as I expected, and I've come to like a smaller case.
